Our base will be a stunning private villa—comfortable, spacious, and ideal for sharing moments, stories, and inspiration with fellow trail running enthusiasts. What to Expect: Chamonix Trail Running Camp Day by Day

DAY 1 – Friday, July 18
La Jonction: Where Rock meets Ice
We’ll begin our adventure with one of the most iconic routes in the Chamonix valley. After meeting in the morning, we’ll take a short cable car ride to the base of the Bossons Glacier—an impressive starting point that immediately immerses us in the high alpine environment. From there, we’ll follow a steep and steadily rising trail through forest, rocky terrain, and moraines, climbing up to La Jonction at 2,600 meters. This dramatic viewpoint is where the Bossons and Taconnaz glaciers split and offers an up-close perspective of the Mont Blanc massif. It’s a challenging but rewarding out-and-back route, featuring varied terrain and a final rocky push to a stunning natural balcony suspended between ice and stone. A powerful and scenic way to kick off the camp.

On our second day, we’ll dive into one of the all-time classics of Chamonix: the Grand Balcon Nord. Starting right from town, we’ll climb a rocky and demanding trail toward Montenvers, where we’ll take in stunning views of the Mer de Glace—France’s largest glacier, now rapidly retreating. From there, we’ll continue up to Signal Forbes, a 360° panoramic ridge, before traversing the iconic balcony trail below the towering Aiguilles. The traverse ends at the Aiguille du Midi mid-station, where we begin our descent back to Chamonix on what’s considered one of the best downhill sections in the valley. With dramatic alpine scenery, views over Mont Blanc’s glaciers, and a terrain that keeps changing, this is a true highlight of the camp—challenging, rewarding, and absolutely unforgettable.
